Hello there! Iām Joshil Naran.
As the founder of Millimetre Architecture and Maker Studio, I blend my South African and Indian heritage with a passion for design. My multicultural journey influences every project. In 2020, I earned my Master of Architecture from the University of the Witwatersrand, focusing on Kurla's informal settlements in Mumbai, which fueled my desire to engage with diverse contexts.
A turning point in 2021, when a nerve injury from a broken arm challenged my ability to create, deepened my understanding of conscious design and taught me resilience. My experience at firms like SVA International, 2610 South Architects, and Iconic Architecture has broadened my skill set.
At Millimetre, I foster a space for collaboration and experimentation, inviting individuals and communities to shape meaningful and responsive spaces together.
